Mohan K Shrestha Chief Executive Officer
Mohan K Shrestha began his entrepreneurial journey in 1979 with the establishment of DP Shoe Industry, a venture he successfully led for over a decade. In 1989, he founded the Association of Nepal Cottage and Small-Scale Industry, expanding its reach with district offices in all 75 districts of Nepal. With strong backing from the government, the industry sector of Nepal flourished, and its products were exported to various European countries.
To strengthen international business ties, Mr. Shrestha founded the Benelux Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NBCCI), representing Nepal in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. As president, he facilitated deeper economic cooperation between Nepal and the Benelux region. The organization was officially inaugurated in Kathmandu, Nepal by HRH Prince Guillaume and HRH Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg, marking a milestone in Nepal’s international trade relations. Over the next decade, he traveled extensively to countries including Germany, Spain, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, South Korea, and Australia to conduct business meetings, seminars, and mutual agreement discussions—contributing significantly to Nepal’s international commercial presence.
In 2010, Mohan came to the United States of America and continued his commitment to fostering connections. He engaged in business discussions across various states and studied market dynamics to build meaningful partnerships. Through his experiences, he observed a growing need for deeper interpersonal connections, particularly among immigrant communities. In response, he founded Nepal Vision Inc in 2016, a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing emotional and personal bonds among individuals, especially immigrants in the United States.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, under Mohan’s leadership, Nepal Vision Inc provided critical community support. The organization conducted home visits and distributed masks, gloves, sanitizers, and PPE—entirely free of cost. It also played a key role in promoting COVID-19 vaccine awareness within the community.
Recognizing the mental and physical health challenges faced by homebound seniors, Mohan and his team established New Life Senior Care Center. This initiative provides a communal space for seniors to socialize, participate in activities, and receive personalized care, ensuring their well-being and preventing isolation-related health issues. Through this work, Mr. Shrestha continues to be a driving force in both business and community service, committed to uplifting lives through meaningful connection and compassionate care.
